We take plastic waste that is difficult to recycle and turn it into
material that companies can actually use.

Most plastic recycling infrastructure was designed around clean, separated, single-resin streams. The reality of what communities and manufacturers generate is more complicated. Mixed rigid plastics. Dirty, mixed film, and flexible packaging. Post-commercial scrap with variable quality and contamination.

Triton Group was built to handle that reality. Our processing capabilities, developed over fifty years, are designed for volume, variability, and economic performance. We do not sort for perfection. We engineer for demand-driven throughput.

Capabilities

MIXED PLASTICS PROCESSING

We recover PE and PP from post-consumer, post-commercial, and post-industrial streams, including mixed, contaminated, and metal-bearing material. As one example, we can handle unwashed trash carts with up to one-inch axles still on! Our proprietary reduction, washing, separation and grinding process produces consistent PCR for demanding manufacturing and advanced chemical recycling applications.

FILM AND FLEXIBLE PACKAGING

Film and flex represents the fastest growing segment of plastics packaging and one of the least recovered. We are actively building the capability to process, densify, and blend high volumes of MRF and agricultural generated film into feedstock for durable product manufacturing and pyrolysis. From grocery sacks to product wrap to massive agricultural plastic tubing, this is a material that the industry has struggled to absorb. We see it as the next opportunity.

WASH LINES AND EXTRUSION

Our proprietary systems shred, wash, separate, grind, densify, and blend a wide spectrum of post-consumer and post-commercial plastic-heavy streams, mining value from challenging materials that may otherwise not be recovered. This is where our experience and ingenuity has a direct impact, driving solitions.

INFRASTRUCTURE-GRADE COMPOSITE PRODUCTS

Our output material is engineered into durable goods that compete against legacy materials on performance and life-cycle economics. Applications include composite railroad ties, sea container and trailer flooring, guardrail and signposts, pooling pallets and other infrastructure components. When we see infrastructure, we see endless possibilities. These are not niche applications. They are high-volume end markets that can absorb material at the scale the challenge demands.

VERTICAL INTEGRATION:
THE TRITON TIE

We believe the best way to recycle the genius of plastic is to use its unique properties to outperform legacy materials like wood, steel, and concrete. The embodiment of this philosophy is our flagship product—the Triton Tie. We take difficult-to-recycle streams of post-consumer plastics and transform them into fiber-reinforced polymer composite rail ties that are stronger than oak and never rot. Designed as a one-for-one replacement for traditional wood ties, the Triton Tie lasts 50+ years in heavy-haul mainline track—far exceeding wood ties that often fail in less than 15 years in high-decay climates.  No cutting down 80 year old hardwood trees.  No toxic creosote.  No decay.  Just superior performance, savings, and sustainability at scale.  Where wood rots, Triton rules.

REACTOR-READY FEEDSTOCK

Pyrolysis is the thermal decomposition of PE and PP at high temperatures in the absence of oxygen to convert plastic back into oil.  This advanced chemical recycling process represents a massive opportunity to scale plastic recycling.  We supply pyrolysis operators with a high-quality, mixed polyolefin feedstock designed to ensure their systems run at optimum efficiency. Our material is delivered densified, blended, tested and ready to be introduced directly into the reactor. Our point of view is simple: each player in the value chain should focus on what they do best. We use our proprietary systems to mine the post-consumer stream for PE and PP, and advanced chemical recyclers convert it back into oil and beyond.

We are entrepreneurs driven by an indomitable spirit of perseverance and ingenuity to solve America’s plastic waste challenge. Triton is committed to the discovery of innovative solutions that unlock the full value of plastic waste at the scale the problem demands.
